Medical Management
Pharma-Safe offers contractural agreements with clients to provide medical management for those who do not have in house coverage by a physician. The services provided through medical management include:
- A complete approved set of written medical protocols and procedures for first aid and emergency medical care for use by specified emergency medical responders and technicians available onboard any vessel covered by this Agreement commensurate with such personnel’s level of medical training or as authorized by a physician;
- A physician familiar with the level of patient care each level of medic training can provide. He will be available on a twenty-four (24) hours per day/seven(7) days per week basis for medical consultation by pager/cell phone for emergency or non-emergency medical situations that may present to on duty emergency medical responders and technicians;
- A medical care quality assurance and improvement program to document and track the first aid and medical care provided;
- A medical supply procurement program which will comply with all Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) quality assurance compliance procedures and which shall include the delivery of medical supplies to certain designated areas in a timely and efficient manner
